Jax Man Becomes Florida Man When He Wrestles Gator In The Street

A Jacksonville man became Florida Man when he wrestled a gator in the street on the Northside with his bare hands Sunday and it was all caught on video.

According to news reports, Mike Dragich, who is a licensed Florida gator trapper, says he was downtown at the Jacksonville Icemen game with his family Sunday, when he heard the call from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. They were looking for a trapper to take care of a gator that was in the street, specifically on Edgewood Avenue West at Vernon Road.

So, you might think Dragich would get some kind of equipment and drag the gator away and put it into some kind of cage. Nope. Dragich had nothing with him so he used his bare hands to catch the reptile. It all went down like this.

The best thing about the story might be what Dragich did after he caught the gator.... he told reporters he went back to the hockey game.
